Autumn Festival

With the arrival of the new season, the Autumn Festival celebrates and evokes ancient knowledge and expertise, rural traditions, biodiversity and nature, and relationships between ancestral and contemporary knowledge, experienced in the open air while raising awareness of more sustainable practices and ways of life in light of current concerns. During the weekend at Serralves Farm, the diverse programme of activities includes different artistic expressions and environmental trends, which will engage families and the general public in a healthy and entertaining atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy playful and pedagogical workshops, that include approaches to the environment and the arts, with walks and games that present the Park's biodiversity, handicrafts workshops that teach participants to experiment with production and manufacturing techniques of textile fibres, thematic workshops, as well as theatre and musical performances that will delight children and adults, innovative performances and installations. There will also be interaction with the Park’s animals, who are excellent hosts, and will invite us to learn more about Portugal’s native breeds. Over the last decade, the Autumn Festival has left many stories in the memories of many families, with many more to come! Aimed at everyone, the Festival marks the September agenda in the city of Porto, and provides the opportunity to take part in numerous activities that will arouse interest and enjoyment for the enchanting experiences offered by the event.
